Scholarships Requirements

To be eligible for a WEASSP scholarship students must:

• Have attended a P5 school or participated in Wisconsin Title I programs.
• Have participated in a minimum of four Wisconsin academic pre-college programs, which were at least one week in duration between the summer they entered 6th grade and the present. Students who participate in the same program for multiple years can count each year they participated as one of the four programs.
• Be a senior at a regular or alternative public high school in Wisconsin with a 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale or 4.0 on a 5.0 scale) in Core Academic Subjects. These include: English, foreign language, math, science, and social studies.
• Be a Wisconsin resident.
• Enroll as a full-time student at a post-secondary institution. (Minimum 12 credit hours).
• Have attended school no less than 90% of the time during the first 3 1/2 years of high school.
• Fully complete a WEASSP Scholarship Application. It must be postmarked by June 1st of a given year.
• Relatives or officers, Board Members and Scholarship Committee members are not eligible for the scholarships.
